Week of Christmas Day

This Week at St. John's

Fr. Jeff December 27, 2007
Merry Christmas everyone! A huge and heartfelt thanks to everyone who assisted and participated in the Advent and Christmas festivities.  It was a wonderful and beautiful time at St. Johns.  Its a quiet week this week, but there are a few things of note:
  • This Sunday, December 30th, Catharine and I will host the annual Vicarage Open House from 3:00pm- 4:30pm...so please stop by for some dessert and enjoy Christmastide with us.
  • And on Sunday January 6th, St. John's will have her annual meeting, immediately following the mass complete with a covered dish lunch.  We are electing three new members (as of this writing we have three nominations) for the Mission Committee and at the first Mission Committee meeting, we will be electing a new treasurer (as of this writing we have one nomination).
  • Don't forget, Sunday night January 20th we will gather for the January book club, at which time we will discuss Graham Greene's masterpiece: "The Power and the Glory".  You can go to the St. John's website for more information and ordering instructions if you need them //stjohnsaberdeen.dioms.org
  • This Sunday, please be sure to pick up your Poinsettia, they have been watered and still have a lot of life left in them.
I don't have the bulletin done, and will download it to the website as soon as possible.

Again, a huge thanks to everyone who came out for Advent and Christmas offerings.  I hope everyone has a blessed week.  See you all on Sunday!
God bless,
Jeff+
